OUR HISTORY
The Alice Milliat Foundation is the first european Foundation dedicated to women's sports. It was officially born on March 29, 2016 at INSEP during the launch of 11 Tricolore, la France au rendez-vous, in the presence of the French President François Hollande. The Foundation is supported by the French Sport Foundation Henri Sérandour and is recognized as a public utility.
The Foundation was created in response to the inequalities between women and men in the world of sport. It was born from the desire to improve the media coverage of women's sport in France and Europe, whether amateur or professional. While media coverage is progressing, thanks to the creation of specialized media, there is still a long way to go to achieve a fairer place for women in sport and to set up role models for millions of young girls.
After having led several initiatives to promote women's sports in France, the Foundation has set itself the goal of broadening its field of action by opening up to Europe. To this purpose, The Foundation benefits from the support of the Erasmus+ Sport program, which has already rewarded several projects where the Foundation has been involved.
French Sport Foundation Henri Sérandour supports the Alice Milliat Foundation. The mission of the French Sport Foundation is to promote social innovation with and through sport. It is presided over by Thierry Braillard, former Secretary of French Ministry in charge of Sports.
It was created by Henri Sérandour, former President of the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) and by the founder of the French Paralympic movement André Auberger, former President of the French Paralympic and Sports Committee (CPSF).

NOS MISSIONS
Alice Milliat Foundation works for exposure and promotion of women’s sports. We help building projects rooting for physical activity of young women, social integration by sport, the look for a more inclusive sport and development of parasports practices. More widely, all actions that allow a more fair consideration for women in sports.
The Foundation also can be the main organizer of events (see Our Projects). However, we rather financially and technically support other organizations/associations after calls for projects. If the projects match our engagement and values, they receive the Alice Milliat Certification Label and we accompany them all along their achievement.
PROMOTE
Promote and increase media exposure of women's sport practices.
UNITE
Unite all initiatives and projects in favor of women's sports.
ADVISE
Advise associations,
federations and clubs in their 'sports for all' development.
FUND
Fund projects and create long-term and lasting events.
