This year, the 6th edition of the Alice Milliat Challenge, in partnership with Running Heroes, started on July 23 and ended on September 5, symbolically covering the period of Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games. The objective behind this race was to give sportswomen the place they deserve on the podiums, in the media and in the public space !

Maxine Eouzan, sports journalist on Sport en France, and former high-level sportswoman in diving and gymnastics, honored us by being the godmother of this edition focused on the visibility of women in sports. She lent herself to the game and animated a running session open to everyone to lauch the challenge on July 23rd. The course made a loop from the Palais de Tokyo, a wink on the day of the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games

The Alice Milliat Foundation also decided to create a special t-shirt in partnership with EUROCOM, to meet this objective of making sportswomen more visible. The names of every French Olympic and Paralympic women champions of the History, was thus gathered on this t-shirt around a special slogan « LET’S RUN TOGET’HER », before other gold medals are added on Tokyo.

The past year, we achieved a new record of participants and kilometers run by counting the figures of the challenge proposed on the French version (1 576 6161km and 9 365 runners) and the English version (272 384km and 985 runners) on the Running Heroes application. This year, focusing on the French version only, we have surpassed last year’s figures by reaching a total of 1 74 974km run. On the runners’ side, we notice that less people contributed at this challenge (8 290), but they ran longer distances ! Congratulations to those who participated at this annual event, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
